U Pinkasu

That's U Pinkasu with an o over the u in Pinkasu. U Pinkasu is one of several Prague pubs that claim to have served the first pilsner in Prague. It's what's called a tank pub, which means it serves unpasteurized beer. Tank pubs sell so much beer that it doesn't have time to sit around; therefore, no pasteurization required. Like most beer in Prague, it's excellent. What really sets U Pinkasu apart is the garden, set in what seems to be a ruin once connected to the neighboring church. U Pinkasu is just a few steps from the heavily touristed Wenceslas Square, but the garden is quiet and cool in the shadow of the church.

The food was a good as the setting, but we ate it before we could take a picture.

Today was Mike's first day of teaching. Sue spent the day shopping. We both had fun.

Special thanks to Bridget, who posts comments from time to time. You will be rewarded. :>
