Sunday in the Park

Letna Park, that is, an easy subway or tram ride across the Vltava River from the tourist center. The main attraction of the park is the spectacular view of the Prague center:

Last night we attended a Czech National Symphony Orchestra performance of "Carmina Burana" in the Old Municipal Building, an Art Nouveau extravaganza. The orchestra (fabulous) was huge, with every instrument you could name; the choir (also fabulous), some of whom were from Hartwick College in New York, had to number 150+; and three soloists (so-so) rounded out the throng on stage. Overall, a most satisfactory evening.

  1. I'm really enjoying traveling vicariously through your posts and pictures! Has the weather really been that nice, or were you able to get a shot right the perfect moment?

Sue, in honor of your European yarn-buying, I went with a friend to the Knit and Crochet Show here and bought some yarn too ... :-)
